This is where you’ll hear about the up-to-the-moment happenings at StoneArch Creative.

On Thursday, June 17 StoneArch Creative hosted the first Education Thought Event for the BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota (BBAM). This event was the first in a series to be held this summer to demonstrate the important role nanotechnology plays in our lives. The presentation, entitled Small Science for Big Thinkers, was presented by area thought leaders, Deb Newberry and Eric Weiben. Deb is the Director and Principle Investigator for Nano-Link and Eric is the Director of Mayo Clinic’s Genomics Research Center in addition to other roles in Mayo’s education research efforts.
While the science is small, the crowd was large and diverse. Attendees came from various industries and backgrounds including healthcare, medical device, biosciences, agribusiness, government and academia.
A critical goal of these events is to promote how BBAM works with companies and communities within Minnesota to grow the state’s bioscience economy. So, in addition to walking away with a new appreciation for the possible real world applications of this technology, attendees had plenty of time to meet and get to know each other.
