Thanks for the [Nice] Ride!
Fitting for a town just named the most bike friendly city in America, Minneapolis just launched the largest bike sharing program in the country. Nice Ride MN has just placed 700 bikes around the city for anyone to use at any time of the day.
Our friends at Blue Cross Blue Shield MN are a main sponsor of Nice Ride, and as long time partners on the do-groove campaign, we’ve been excited to see these bikes in action. Today I finally stopped reading the buzz on Twitter and Facebook – and got out there to ‘do’ it myself. I’m happy to report it was a smooth ride. Checking it out took nothing more than a swipe of my credit card, and as I zipped around St Anthony Falls I felt validated by the ‘thumbs up’ signs I received from fellow riders. I broke a nice sweat & finished my ride in a breezy ½ hour (which is less time than it takes to blog and create a ‘search story’ about it).
Summertime in Minneapolis (and having an office on the river) just got better thanks to BCBS MN, Duffy & Partners, Clockwork and the other great sponsors of Nice Ride MN that made this program a reality.
