The Beauty of Art and Science
On September 30, StoneArch Creative hosted an amazing evening that demonstrated the beauty of art and science. The BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota, BBAM, unveiled their commissioned painting called “Unfolding the Natural History and Science of Life.” The artwork was created at BBAM’s request by local artist Lynn Fellman to serve as a unifying symbol for the dedicated professionals, students and supporters working in and among the life sciences.
Guests included supporters of Minnesota’s life sciences industry and notable keynote speaker Dr. Doris Taylor, Director of the University of Minnesota’s Center for Cardiovascular Repair. Dr. Taylor presented “From DNA to Development: Building Ideas for Regenerative Medicine.”
The artwork symbolizes the entrance into the age of biology and engages people in the ongoing scientific discoveries in the life sciences. BBAM intends the image to become an identifiable symbol for stakeholders in the life science community and to complement the intellectual discussions that already exist around the life sciences.
StoneArch Creative was pleased to offer its facilities for this occasion and is excited about the creative and scientific opportunities that are available in Minnesota because of this amazing group of thought leaders.
