COGNIS Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillator (CRT-D) and TELIGEN Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) are the smallest, thinnest high-energy devices in the defibrillator market. The challenge was giving the sales reps a way to instantly communicate the significant size differential to surgeons.
“There’s no such thing as too slim or too powerful” was the messaging hook for a unique Competitive Product Wheel. The wheel contains a clear acetate section with a foil overlay of the COGNIS and TELIGEN device in profile. The north, south, east and west quadrants of the wheel hold to-scale outlines of key competitors’ products. Sales reps can spin the wheel and show in actual size that COGNIS and TELIGEN are thinner than other devices. To further extend the application of the wheel, we suggested putting it on the client’s website. Web access would allow Boston Scientific the freedom to add products and highlight additional features as needed in the future without the costs associated with printing.
