Agency writing is about more than choosing the right words—it’s about listening to clients, knowing audiences, keeping up on digital trends, immersing yourself in strategy and bringing all of those elements together in just the right balance. We’re seeking a writer with a passion for making communication clear, interesting, inspirational and focused, by truly understanding the strategy behind the projects and the motivations of the audiences.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to pivot easily among different clients, writing styles and tones. A knack for taking dense, technical and/or scientific content and making it accessible, clear and fresh is essential. You must be comfortable writing for campaigns, social media, SEO, websites and video, as well as a sell sheets and blogs. At least eight years of writing experience, reflected in a portfolio that includes a wide variety of media and clients, is a must to be considered. Experience writing for the healthcare industry is preferred. Any specialized background in SEO, writing for social or agency experience is a definite plus.
Although we’re working remotely during the pandemic, we’re eager to return to our agency and our neighborhood that includes the Guthrie Theater, the Stone Arch Bridge, the scenic Mississippi River and the historic Mill Ruins district.
